In the Karabagh region of the South Caucasus, carpets are woven with designs inspired by the Caucasians of the 17th century, others with Kazakh designs and a third more western design, derived from the Savonnerie and Aubbuson carpets, this carpet applies the latter of taste more European. On a dark blue field, almost black, a multitude of branches, leaves and the characteristic pinks and buds of French rugs, with a coloring of orange and ocher tones, in a wide palette. The border is narrow, another characteristic of the hall rugs, with chained flower decoration and color similar to the field. Typical example of this production.
