Our beginnings
At Alfombras Hamid, we have more than 30 years of experience dedicated to importing and selling rugs that transform interiors into beautiful and stylish spaces.
The Hamid brand bears the name of its founder and was established in 1983 in Madrid, on Núñez de Balboa Street, beginning its activity in the import and sale of hand-knotted oriental rugs from various Eastern countries such as Persia, Pakistan, Afghanistan, China, India, Nepal, and Turkey.
During this first stage of constant travel to these countries, close relationships were established with suppliers based on trust and the search for new qualities, designs, and textures in their countries of origin. This process introduced innovative ideas into the rug market, creating exclusive products for the brand. Thus, Hamid offers a wide range of rugs with different designs, both traditional and newly created, resulting from continuous study of color and quality, creating its exclusive collections such as: "Shayan", "Omid", "Farahan", "Bamian", "Suzani", among others.
