Hand-knotted rug in Afghanistan on cotton warp and double-stranded Persian knot and warp. Wool hand-spun from the mountains of Afghanistan dyed with vegetable dyes. It has a density of 140,000 knots per square meter. The elegant designs of these rugs are inspired by ancient Zigler style Persian rugs (Sultan Abad - central region of Iran).
