Hailing from the present-day Caucasus, the Karabakhs represent the best in quality and design among the ancient Caucasian carpet styles. Three medallions in the shape of a bouquet of flowers, influenced by the Savonnerie rugs, occupy the central part of the field, with four mediums in the corners. The dark blue background makes the red, blue, green and ecru tones stand out more. The result is of great decorative force and at the same time delicate.
