Shirvan is an area located south of the Caucasus mountain range, between Gendje to the west and the Baku peninsula to the east. The black background of the field of this carpet contains diamonds or diamonds attached, in orange tones, within geometric medallions, with profiles in ecru. Octagons with eight-pointed stars and various geometric figures complete the main design. The border with four narrow grooves, with designs of diamonds or diamonds and crosses, with the same tones as in the field, red, orange and blue.
