ANTIQUE RAVAR - KERMAN

PERSIA, 19TH CENTURY

468x324

CARPET #980141

Kirman is one of the best-known and world-renowned Persian carpet productions, its production from the late 19th and early 20th centuries inspired by the old ones from the 17th century. The Ravar or Laver are known for their delicate designs and the fineness of their workmanship. The field of this carpet is covered entirely by flowers of all kinds, roses, carnations and other varieties that occupy the bottom of the corner pieces and that are visible by the arabesque of red tone of its profile. The central medallion follows the same design of larger flowers, in red and pinkish tones on a blue background. The border is very wide with a main groove on a yellow background and decorated with the same motifs of flowers and palmettes in a raw tone. Splendid display of Kirman rugs.
