CARPET #980288
Belonging to the group of "SARUQ or SAROUG" rugs, the Feraghan took that name as a distinctive of the rest of the Saruq and as a sign of elegance for the Persian Principalities, and they were manufactured between 1870 and 1913, north of ARAK. They are characteristic for their narrow and polyvated medallion design with hangings. This gallery has all the essence of them, central motif of a medallion with the Herati motif and joined corner pieces, of course, decorated with arabesques and flowers; the field is dark blue and the colors of the motifs, according to its recognized palette, are ocher, yellow, brown and ecru. The border with a raw background is decorated with the design of palmettes and intertwined branches, with the same tones as in the field. Elegant and sober.
