Hand-knotted rug in southern Iran and belonging to the province of Kirman (Kerman), we find the town of Afshar populated mostly by Afsharis tribes of Turkish origin. Their carpets are either medallion or spike maintain a geometry that makes them very different from the rest of the area. For its construction the Persian knot is used on warp and double weave in cotton with native wool of the zone.
