COL. ALDEAS 180x76
FROM LADA DEVI, JUNIYA, RAJASTHAN
Lada describes her rug with the word "Novel." 6 months ago, his family was blessed with a baby they named "Naira," which means "New." Little Naira brought a breeze of fresh air into her family, and this is how her mother Lada experienced that renewal with the project at hand, this wonderful rug. She wanted to make pink the predominant color, but she did not have wool of this color, so red was the one that predominated in her work, although pinkish tones can be seen in some parts. Diamond and arrow patterns can be seen throughout this rug. Her wish was to make the patterns have maximum harmony without becoming monotonous.
Lada is a 39-year-old weaver from Juniya, Rajasthan. She is the youngest of seven siblings. She began weaving at a very young age with other women in a public center dedicated to teaching this art. Although at the beginning she found it risky to knit something of her own without any pattern, when she began she began to let go and enjoyed the process in a very personal way that allowed her to express her feelings and emotions through her hands. .
